The first in the Korean automotive market to develop the carbon canister, Korea Fuel-Tech Corporation (KFTC) has diversified its portfolio with environmentally friendly fuel system components and various interior and exterior parts.
KFTC has set up an R&D center and 12 production bases in South Korea, China, India, Poland, Slovakia and the U.S.A. to proactively respond to the demands of global automotive market. KFTC’s customers include Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Volkswagen, GM, Renault, Nissan, Porsche, Volvo, Skoda, Lynk&Co, Li Auto and Hozon Auto.

KFTC offers carbon canister and filler neck for ICE and hybrid vehicles, and also manufactures automatic sunshade, door curtain, and other interior and exterior parts.

  카본캐니스터는 가솔린 및 하이브리드 자동차의 연료시스템 중 증발가스계통의 주요 부품으로, 연료탱크에서 발생되는 증발가스를 활성탄으로 흡착하여 방출을 억제하였다가 엔진 작동 시 흡기 부압에 의한 공기흐름을 이용하여 흡착된 증발가스를 탈착, 재연소시키는 역할을 합니다.
  자동차 환경규제 적용 대상인 증발가스의 대기 방출을 막고 에너지 사용을 줄여줌으로써 각국의 강화된 환경 규제 대응에 필수적인 고부가가치 친환경 부품입니다. 특히 코리아에프티가 세계 최초로 개발한 가열방식 카본캐니스터는 하이브리드 차량과 같은 증발가스 저 탈착 조건에서의 캐니스터 성능 한계를 극복한 기술력을 인정받아 미국 및 국내 특허를 취득하였습니다.

  A key functional component of the evaporative emission control system (EVAP) of gasoline and hybrid engines, the carbon canister plays an essential role in meeting environmental regulations for vehicles, by adsorbing fuel vapor generated in the fuel tank with activated carbon to prevent it from escaping into the air, and purging the adsorbed fuel vapor to re-combust during engine running.
  KFTC introduced the world’s first canister with heater, which enhances the EVAP performance under conditions of insufficient air supply such as in a hybrid engine.
  KFTC’s carbon canisters has held a dominant position in South Korea and an outstanding share of 9% in the global market.

  플라스틱 필러넥은 연료주입구로부터 연료탱크까지 연료를 이동시키는 주유관으로, 기존 스틸소재 제품 대비 경량화를 통한 연비 개선 및 대기오염 방지 효과를 더한 친환경 자동차 부품입니다.
  코리아에프티는 플라스틱 필러넥의 기존 소재에 나노클레이를 첨가한 신제품을 개발하여 2018년부터 시장에 공급하고 있습니다. 기존 소재 대비 증발가스 차단성이 12배 이상 우수하고, 스틸 및 다층구조 대비 각각 약 45%, 32%의 경량화 효과를 통해 연비효율을 향상시키는 제품으로 2019년 IR52 장영실상을 수상하였습니다.

  As the leading manufacturer of filler necks, KFTC was the first in Asia to adopt the 3D suction blow molding method, and has provided a diverse line-up of filler necks that respond to various requirements of global customers and regional emissions regulations.
  KFTC’s PA6+ Nano plastic filler neck, a 2019 IR52 Jang Young-Shil award winner, boasts an excellent fuel vapor barrier property, more than 12 times that of conventional materials.

  코리아에프티는 국내 최초로 자동차 차양장치를 개발, 생산하였으며, 편의성 및 상품성을 향상시킨 구동형 제품을 개발하여 다수의 국내, 해외 특허를 보유하고 있습니다.

  Sunshades and door curtains reduce glare from the sun and the headlights, and provide comfort and privacy for passengers.

  코리아에프티의 Vision-based ADAS 소프트웨어 알고리즘은 야간 환경에서의 객체 검출 성능을 극대화하도록 개발한 딥러닝 네트워크 솔루션입니다.
  기존 이미지 센서를 이용한 객체 검출 기술의 한계(조도가 낮은 환경에서 검출 성능 하락)를 극복하고자, 코리아에프티는 객체 검출을 위한 딥러닝 네트워크에 악천후 및 야간 환경에서의 검출 성능을 극대화하는 자체 개발 모듈을 추가하였습니다. 이 모듈은 학습을 통한 야간 성능의 극대화 이외에도 딥러닝 네트워크의 처리 속도에는 영향을 주지 않는 특징을 가지고 있으며, 다른 딥러닝 네트워크에 이식 시에도 야간에 한해 더 좋은 성능을 기대할 수 있습니다.

  KFTC’s vision-based ADAS software algorithm using AI and deep learning improves driving safety and convenience by detecting objects including cars, pedestrians, lanes and traffic signs.
  Camera sensors, despite their cost advantage, are not as robust for object detection under low ambient light conditions. KFTC’s deep learning network solution aims at overcoming these limitations and enhancing object detection at night or in various weather conditions.
  KFTC’s model features a module that can maximize the nighttime performance through deep learning without compromising the speed of data processing, and can also be embedded in other deep learning networks.
